It is the belief of the founders of the Sandia Music Festival that where much is given, much should also be shared.
In keeping with this vision, festival activities will include outreach to a pre-selected school, which has substantial and evidenced need, within the Albuquerque community. The school selected for this program will be the recipient of performance clinics by the Lyric Brass Quintet.
Festival participants will also engage in a service project to benefit music instruction and accessibility of performance resources at the school.
In 2009, this will involve a concert band uniform drive to benefit Jackson Middle School, and the inventory and assembly of a uniform room for the school. |
